zonel.art is a trading name of Welland School of Dancing, which takes the privacy of our families seriously. This page explains what personal data we collect, why, and how it’s protected, in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect
When you enquire, enrol or use our online Parent Portal, we collect names, contact details, and information about your child relevant to their dancing (such as class level and any medical or additional needs you tell us about). Our contact form collects your name, email and message.
Children’s and minors’ data
Most of our pupils are under 18. We collect only the information we need to teach and keep your child safe in class — including emergency contact details and any medical or additional needs, kept strictly confidential and shared only within the teaching faculty. All our teachers are DBS police-checked and first aid trained. When you enrol, you can opt out of photography and video of your child during class. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children directly; enrolment and account information is provided by a parent or guardian.
How we use your data
We use your information to run classes, process payments, communicate about your child’s progress and school updates, and to understand how families use our services so we can improve them. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties except where needed to provide our services (for example, payment processing) or where the law requires it.
Payments
Card payments are processed securely by Stripe via our Parent Portal, over an encrypted connection. We do not store your full card details ourselves.
Cookies
This site uses cookies for core functionality and, where enabled, analytics to understand how the site is used. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work as intended.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal data we hold about you or your child, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw consent for photography, at any time by contacting us using the details below.
